BLOG TOUR – Merger by Chelle Bliss

Title: Merger
Author: Chelle Bliss
Series: Takeover Duet #2
Release Date: November 28, 2017

Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer–he prefers her in his bed.

Antonio Forte has always put business before pleasure, but ever since he met the gorgeous CEO of Interstellar Corp, he finds himself wanting both. And he’s hoping she won’t be able to refuse his latest offer.

Lauren Bradley knows how to survive as a woman in a man’s world–trust no one. Especially handsome, smooth-talking men who make her panties melt with a single glance like Antonio. But his offer is almost as tempting as he is.

Sometimes to gain it all, you have to give up everything…

Picking up right where Acquisition left off, Chelle Bliss brings Lauren and Antonio’s enemies-to-lovers romance to a heartfelt conclusion with Merger. This duo continued to thrill me, their chemistry as potent as ever while their connection grew even stronger. They made the pages sizzle for sure, but there was something much more significant taking root in this novel. I loved exploring the softer, more vulnerable side of the couple as they looked toward the future both professionally and personally. As Lauren and Antonio fell head over heels, I was riding the emotional rollercoaster alongside them.

“Six months ago, you walked into my life and changed everything in an instant. You were my Big Bang, causing every particle and atom in my soul to burst into life.”

Antonio really came to life in this book. Chelle Bliss unraveled her hero thoroughly through his concessions at work on Lauren’s behalf and his relationship with his family. I absolutely adored seeing Antonio with his mother and siblings, it warmed my heart and allowed me to experience the character in an entirely new and decidedly swoon-worthy way. Lauren also did a lot of growing in this novel. As she let the company become secondary to experiencing life, the character felt more authentic and relatable. Chelle Bliss did a great job getting to the root of Lauren’s insecurities and fears, allowing the reader to see the workaholic heroine in a completely new light.

“Two workaholics, living on different continents. What could possibly go wrong?”

This book wasn’t anything like I expected. I was ready for a lot more drama and angst but things resolved fairly quickly, leaving our hero and heroine to focus on their personal relationship and individual growth. The pace was very different from that of Acquisition and somehow it worked for the couple’s journey. After the dust settled in the beginning, the remainder of Lauren and Antonio’s story was sweeter, slower, and much more laid back. Chelle Bliss’ writing was vibrant and full of emotion, expertly bringing this story and the colorful characters to life. Merger is smart, sexy, and surprisingly sweet – a captivating final installment to the series and an undeniably satisfying conclusion to Lauren and Antonio’s love story.
