Colton Donavan lived life in the fast lane, but it took Rylee Thomas to teach him what racing was all about.
You think you know me?
*Raced is not a complete re-write of the Driven Trilogy. This companion explores pivotal scenes as well as some new ones written in Colton Donavan’s point of view that were not previously published in Driven, Fueled, and Crashed. Hear his thoughts, experience his inner-turmoil, and laugh with him on his journey as he overcomes his demons and accepts what it means to love.
I feel like it’s been so long since I’ve read about Colton and Rylee, and yet diving into Raced gave me all the original feels and then some. This companion piece was short and sweet, but left me wanting to do a reread of the series just so I could live in that Driven world a little bit longer. I think fans of the series will love Raced just as much as I did.
“And yet when all was said and done, when the poison in my soul was lying on the table so she could see how fucking dark it was, she looked me in the eyes and told me I was brave, loved the broken in me. I gave her my darkest and her response was to give me her light. Her love.”
One of the things I really appreciated was Kristy’s intro to each scene. She allowed us into her process and how the key moments were chosen. It made the story feel like a group of friends sitting by the campfire sharing stories. These characters didn’t feel like personalities in a book, but like real life people who experienced the ups and downs life had to offer. Some were brand new moments while others were key points told in a brand new point of view. Either way, each was pivotal to the changes in Colton and Rylee and allowed me to gain a deeper appreciation for their journey. None of them felt forced or repetitive to previous books; they were just special and made me smile immensely.
“I’ll never break when I have her by my side because she’ll bend with me, hold the chips that break off when times get tough and help me put them back.”
K. Bromberg is a woman who adores her fans and Raced clearly shows that love. She’s given all of us more from this racy couple and allowed us to revisit them even for a short while. Raced is a quick read that any fan of the Driven series will love. I know I couldn’t get enough, and a part of me is wishing for even more.

New York Times Bestselling author K. Bromberg writes contemporary novels that contain a mixture of sweet, emotional, a whole lot of sexy and a little bit of real. She likes to write strong heroines and damaged heroes who we love to hate and hate to love.
She’s a mixture of most of her female characters: sassy, intelligent, stubborn, reserved, outgoing, driven, emotional, strong, and wears her heart on her sleeve. All of which she displays daily with her husband and three children where they live in Southern California.
On a whim, K. Bromberg decided to try her hand at this writing thing. Since then she has written The Driven Series (Driven, Fueled, Crashed, Raced, Aced), the standalone Driven Novels (Slow Burn, Sweet Ache, Hard Beat, and Down Shift (Releasing 10/4/16)), and a short story titled UnRaveled. She is currently finishing up Sweet Cheeks a standalone novel out at the end of 2016.
Her plans for 2017 include a sports romance duet (The Player (#1) and The Catch (#2)) and the Everyday Heroes series (Cuffed (#1), Combust (#2), and Cockpit (#3). She’s also writing a novella for the 1,001 Dark Night series that will be out in February 2017.
She loves to hear from her readers so make sure you check her out on social media.
