Bs Review

Mia Sheridan has once again blown me away! Stinger is a surprising story that will break your heart and make it soar while delivering the perfect balance of sexy and sweet. From the moment they met, Carson and Grace shared some serious sexual tension and an undeniable chemistry that absolutely sizzled. I was hooked on their sarcastic banter and delightful flirtations, loving the resultant push and pull as they tried to fight the unavoidable connection forming between them. Mia Sheridan doesn’t pull any punches when it comes to the powerful emotions of this story and I found myself feeling every step of this journey. Stinger is part fantasy and part harsh reality, a potent combination of action and romance that is indescribably gripping. Mia Sheridan’s writing continues to wow me. Her colorful imagery, lyrical prose, and easy dialogue creating a voice that is fresh, fierce, and utterly addictive.

“And I really, really like how you make me feel– like if you looked at me every day, the way you’re looking at me right now, I could do anything, be anything, be more.”

The character development in Stinger is absolute perfection. In the beginning, Grace and Carson could not have been more different, but as their story progressed and life took them in their own directions, they proved to be so much more than their first impressions implied. I loved watching Grace come into her own. She was so easy to relate to that I couldn’t help but invest myself in her success and happiness. I also adored the way in which Mia Sheridan unraveled Carson. While he was definitely charming, it was the depth and complexity of this character that was downright mesmerizing. Putting together the pieces of Carson’s past and exploring the years following his first meeting with Grace painted a stunning picture of a broken man that was impossible not to love. Together, Grace and Carson inspired each other to re-define themselves and in doing so evolved beautifully throughout their journey.

“Let’s go watch another sunrise together, Buttercup.”

Stinger was very much a two-toned read. The first part of the story was carefree, sexy, and adorably entertaining, while the second half was grittier, poignant, and significantly more angst-ridden. I enjoyed exploring the many facets of Carson and Grace’s relationship, the changing mood of the story seeming to grow right along with this fantastic couple. Mia Sheridan not only serves up a memorable love story with this Sign of Love novel, but she also addresses some hard-hitting issues that had my heart aching. Through Carson, Mia Sheridan skillfully conjures an incredible sense of purpose, shedding light on a dark subject in a way that was informative and deeply touching. Overflowing with raw emotion and filled with vibrant, relatable characters, Stinger is another win for Mia Sheridan’s Sign of Love series.

Cs Review

Wow! When it comes to writing a gripping, hold the edge of your seat type of story, Mia Sheridan sure knows how to deliver. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from Stinger, but it absolutely blew me away. This author has delivered two unforgettable characters with a love that felt timeless and believable, living through a storyline that is relevant and real.

“Why would fate bring us back together only to have us part a second time.”

Grace and Carson’s story is in many ways a second chance love story. However, there was so much more to Stinger than just their romance. I loved how Sheridan questioned fate and the control over what we have in our lives. I adored that the characters didn’t change who they were because of the other. Yet, they changed and grew in a way that stayed true to their personalities. From the moment they started hating on each other in that initial elevator ride, I knew that they would have something special and I could not have been more right.

“He was an enigma to me – stinging me one minute and then soothing me the next – with his words, his touch, his smile.”

Sheridan utilizes a longer time span throughout Stinger, but it allowed me to gain a greater appreciation for who these characters were. We didn’t just get a glimpse of their lives and have to speculate who they used to be, where they were going, etc. The author takes pivotal points in Grace and Carson’s lives and intertwines them effortlessly. The way she so seamlessly intertwines moments and arcs for the characters was truly impressive. Furthermore, the writing was compelling and left me aching for more at the end of each chapter. I finished in a matter of hours because I just couldn’t bring myself to put it down.

“Maybe love was complicated, and yet the simplest thing in the whole wide world.”

For as much as I couldn’t get enough of Leo and Leo’s Chance, there was something even more special about Stinger. This book took a very real life issue and created awareness and compassion without it being over the top or taking away from the characters’ story. From their transformations and growth to the way they became so sure in the choices they made – it just flowed perfectly. Mia Sheridan has a true gift and I’ve found that I’m liking each new book even more than the last. I’m not sure how she’ll top herself, but I sure am ecstatic to find out!
