Tag Catcher

Paisley Bronson thought there was nothing she could want more than to open her own bakery. That was, until Corbin Ray put a ring on her finger. Now, the time she was focusing on cupcakes and pastries is being geared toward wedding dresses and centerpieces. She’s ecstatic about every part of the planning process.

Well, almost every part.

Corbin wants to tell his family in person, so he’s flying Paisley home to Oklahoma – for the first time. Not only will she be meeting his family, but she’ll also be reunited with the girl who almost came between her and Corbin – Rachel.

As the week of celebration ensues, Paisley finds out she may not fit with Corbin as much as she thought. Doubt and jealousy creep in more and more each day and Paisley is suffocated by an uncertainty in their relationship that she never felt before.

She gave up chasing tags, but did she truly catch the ones around Corbin’s neck?

Fight for love with the couple who started it all in this Chaser Series short story.

Eeek! Kandi Steiner certainly never disappoints, but especially when she is writing about Corbin and Paisley. For fans of Tag Chaser, this short novella will fill little pieces of your heart that you didn’t know were missing. Seeing as how Paisley was always so strong-headed and determined, it was kind of refreshing to see some of her insecurities shine through here. It made me feel like these characters were realistic and changing from what we had previously known. Together, they brought out different personality traits in each other. I appreciated Steiner’s writing once I saw this because she wasn’t falling back on what she knows, but pushing herself to evolve with her characters. I’m not going to lie though, there were a few times that I had to stop myself from throwing my kindle because of Corbin. I wanted him to be a little more protective of his relationship with Paisley. By the end, he had redeemed himself, but it was touch and go there for a little bit. While we did get to see these other sides of the relationship, I was happy that the passion and playfulness was still the very same that we’ve come to fall in love with. I adored getting those few moments of togetherness, away from Corbin’s family, where they could flirt and love each other in their own way. If anything has been proven with the release of Tag Catcher, it’s that I will never get enough of Corbin and Paisley. I’d love to see more of their relationship and just how Rachel is fitting in with the family after Corbin’s lecture!

Author Bio

Kandi Steiner

Kandi Steiner is a Creative Writing and Advertising/Public Relations graduate from the University of Central Florida living in Tampa with her husband. Kandi works full time as a social media specialist, but also works part time as a Zumba fitness instructor and blackjack dealer.

Kandi started writing back in the 4th grade after reading the first Harry Potter installment. In 6th grade, she wrote and edited her own newspaper and distributed to her classmates. Eventually, the principal caught on and the newspaper was quickly halted, though Kandi tried fighting for her “freedom of press.” She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a die hard hopeless romantic (like most girls brought up on Disney movies).

When Kandi isn’t working or writing, you can find her reading books of all kinds, talking with her extremely vocal cat, and spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys beach days, movie marathons, live music, craft beer and sweet wine – not necessarily in that order.
