Review

Ryan Michele turns up the heat in Consume Me. Sexy, captivating, and overflowing with emotion, Tug and Blaze’s story is an exciting addition to the Ravage MC series. Working at X, the club owned by Ravage, has put Blaze directly in Tug’s line of sight. From the start, the chemistry between Blaze and Tug is apparent, coming through in their flirtatious exchanges and mounting sexual tension. Ryan Michele surrounds Tug and Blaze with all of our favorite Ravage couples, ensuring that their journey exhibits the easy familiarity and sense of humor readers have come to love about this series. The emotional weight of Blaze’s story really struck me. Consume Me has a surprising depth that explores some truly tough and often devastating issues. I applaud Ryan Michele for her handling of these topics, telling Blaze’s story with a raw honesty and sensitivity that was both respectful and entirely necessary.

“Blaze and I have been playing this cat and mouse game for the past few months. Her taunting me from the stage, her beckoning eyes calling to me, drawing me in.”

After seeing Tug’s relationship with Casey in Seduce Me, I was anxious to find out more about this obviously good man. Ryan Michele did not disappoint, revealing Tug to be a man of surprising complexity. Proving to be relentless in his pursuit of Blaze, Tug exemplifies the alpha male in the most deliciously satisfying way. He made me laugh and got my heart racing, winning me over with his effortless charm and sweet possessiveness. I knew from the moment we met her that Blaze would be something special. Obviously keeping secrets, I was definitely curious to see how Ryan Michele planned on developing this character. As we got to know her, Blaze proved to be intelligent, sexy, and feisty as hell – the perfect woman for a Ravage MC man. However, it was her insecurities and genuine vulnerability that really endeared Blaze to me. By exposing this character so completely, Ryan Michele made her relatable and real, a character I easily found myself invested in.

“Damn man. It’s getting harder and harder to escape the fog that seems to envelop me each time he’s around.”

Along with Tug and Blaze’s developing relationship, the storyline in Consume Me includes some intense MC dealings, mostly focused around Blaze and the return of her past. Dealing with Blaze’s past added an emotional component to the storyline that made my heart ache, pulling me in and securing my attention to this character’s plight. It also added an element of suspense to the club business that had me on the edge of my seat, waiting for everything to fall apart. Pacing was a small issue for me in Consume Me. There was a lot of build up when it came to Blaze and Tug, which helped craft the explosive tension between them, but it also slowed the beginning of the novel, saving all the action for a rush at the end and making the book feel slightly unbalanced. Overall, Ryan Michele delivers another action-packed, engrossing MC romance that will have you swooning in no time. Consume Me is a wild ride filled with excitement, lovable characters, and intense emotions that will leave you reeling and ready for the next book in the series.
