With his tight leather pants and a sharp edge that makes him dangerous, Jet Keller is every girl’s rock and roll fantasy. But Ayden Cross is done walking on the wild side with bad boys. She doesn’t want to give in to the heat she sees in Jet’s dark, haunted eyes. She’s afraid of getting burned from the sparks of their spontaneous combustion, even as his touch sets her on fire.

Jet can’t resist the Southern Belle with mile-long legs in cowboy boots who defies his every expectation. Yet the closer he feels to Ayden, the less he seems to know her. While he’s tempted to get under her skin and undo her in every way, he knows firsthand what happens to two people with very different ideas about relationships.

Will the blaze burn into an enduring love. . . or will it consume their dreams and turn them to ashes?

Jet absolutely rocked my world! Jay Crownover has written a phenomenal addition to the Marked Men series with Jet and Ayden’s story. I wasn’t sure I could love another Marked man as much as I did Rule, but Jet stole me away in his own right. I was floored by the complexity of Jet and Ayden’s personal journeys, and learning what lay beneath their public facades was both exciting and addicting. They had me laughing, giddy, infuriated, and devastated as I followed them through the many roadblocks and detours of their relationship. Jet’s kind heart and Ayden’s incredible strength made sure I was totally invested in their happily ever after. Seeing more of Rule and Shaw was a definite bonus to the story. The quirky little family Jay Crownover has built gives me all the feels and makes my heart incredibly full.

“I was willing to see what Jet and I could do with all the heat that burned between us, as long as the fire was controlled. As soon as it got out of hand, burned too hot, I would have to put it out and walk away, no matter how bad it might hurt me or him.”

I easily found myself completely consumed by the fire that is Jet Keller. I really had no idea what to expect from the bits and pieces of him we were given in Rule, but Jay Crownover delivered a rocker with an amazing heart and incredible depth. I was constantly smiling at his unexpected sweetness and his passion had me burning up. He won my heart with his unconditional loyalty and fierce defense of those he loves. Ayden also caught me off guard. The carefree and loud country girl we met as Shaw’s best friend turned out to be an incredibly complex and emotionally riveting character. Ayden’s personal journey, past mistakes, and constant heartache had me feeling for this girl every step of the way. Her insecurities, flaws, and missteps gave her an authenticity that had me relating to her and cheering for her from the very beginning. Together, Jet and Ayden are an absolute firestorm. Their chemistry is undeniable and Jay Crowover made sure you felt that utterly delicious tension with your whole being while reading their story.

“Sometimes, things need to change, because there just isn’t any way for them to stay the same.”

The ups and downs of their journey kept me spinning, holding me in rapt attention and demanding to know how Jet and Ayden’s story would play out. I loved how the relationships between all of the characters continued to grow as their bonds were tried and tested. The sense of family that Jay has crafted here is simply breathtaking. It’s so easy to get caught up in the waves of overwhelming emotion, almost unbearable heat, and unquestionable love that pours of the pages of this book. Jet and Ayden’s journey really was something special and it made me even more excited to hear the stories of the rest of the Marked Men. Jay Crownover took me on a heart wrenching and stunning ride with Jet and it’s one I won’t forget. Jet Keller has definitely staked his claim on a piece of my heart.

I’m totally kicking myself for not picking up Jay Crownover’s books sooner! I’ve just read the second book in her Marked Men series and I’m so addicted to her writing style and this world that she’s built that I don’t know if I’ll ever get enough. Jet was the perfect example of a slow build romance that sits in the pit of your stomach waiting to explode. The characters were so fierce and exemplary of the new adult genre that I’m only left aching for more.

“Ayden Cross was a puzzle that, every time I thought I was close to solving, proved to have five extra pieces and no corners.”

Jet and Ayden were such an interesting couple to see play out on the pages. Their relationship didn’t run the typical course, but it might just be one of the best dynamics that I’ve encountered, and a potential new favorite. These two spent a decent amount of the novel in different headspaces, and not together for pieces, but their chemistry sizzled so passionately. There wasn’t a moment I denied the attraction or believability of these two being together. Jet was a rockstar unlike I have ever seen. He had all the hard edges, but the soft sides too. He reminded me of a perfectly made chocolate chip cookie and boy did I just eat him up! Ayden was something else altogether. She was so hardened because of her past, and I could relate to the walls she constantly put up. The novel felt like such a journey for both of these characters; one where they found growth and came to life-changing realizations, and witnessing that was something so special and touching.

“We can’t pick our families or where we come from, Jet. All we can choose is who we want to become in spite of them, and because of them.”

Jay Crownover is simply a magical unicorn when it comes to her writing. There is an addictive, relatable quality to it that will leave readers drooling for more. Whether it’s a tattoo artist, a sexy crooner, or a feisty heroine with her own past, Crownover’s characters are filled with depth and likeability. Each time I have finished a novel, I ache to dive into the next and lose myself. That slow-build of anticipation that I found in Jet made for a remarkable reading experience that I’m sure to not forget anytime soon. Jay Crownover has made me a fan for life, and I can’t wait to see where she takes all the secondary characters that I can’t seem to get enough of!
