Welcome to The Wellesley-Crawford…

Hannah Wellesley has spent her entire life running the halls of her family-owned hotel, the infamous and opulent Wellesley-Crawford. Noted as one of the city’s richest, most luxurious hotels in Chicago, the WC is what Hannah has devoted her life and career to.

The hotel’s Annual Masquerade Gala is the event of the year, but this year Hannah’s evening involves more than just handing out masks. After a mysterious rendezvous in a secluded stairwell with an irresistible and unidentifiable man, Hannah becomes consumed with discovering the identity of her masked lover. Just as she’s about to give up the search, two men blow back into her life with drastically different intentions. They both have secrets and uncovering them will lead Hannah down a darkly dangerous path.

Drawn to both of the intriguing bachelors, she’ll have to determine which one is after her heart and which one plans to do her deadly harm before it’s too late.

EPISODE ONE

Elizabeth Lee already has me completely addicted to this story! I have mixed feelings about serials, but in this case, it’s probably a good thing. If I had more of this story right now I would definitely be spending the entire night with Trent because there would be no sleep until this book was done. After an unforgettable encounter with a masked stranger during a blackout, Hannah is still reeling in the aftermath eight months later. She’s stuck on the man who turned her world upside down that night and dreams that one day he’ll walk back into her life. Just as she thinks she is ready to move on, her work life and love like take a dramatic turn. Two men appear, ready to vie for Hannah’s attention and this story promises to set you on fire.

“Trent had a way of calming my fears and making me feel like everything was right in the world. He still had a way of making me feel safe.”

I adore Hannah. There is nothing I love more than a successful, hard-working, independent woman who is running the world (or at least her own). Hannah also happens to be humble, sweet, considerate, and fun. With her two best friends, we get to see her relaxed and honest and vulnerable and that made me love her even more. Carter is a sexy chef that definitely knows the right way to woo a woman, but he doesn’t quite do it for me. Someone as fierce as Hannah needs more of an alpha male. Trent on the other hand is everything I lust over in a BBF. Not only is he a successful, hard-working businessman, but also his past history with Hannah and his willingness to take what he wants won me over immediately. The chemistry between Hannah and Trent is absolutely smoldering. Elizabeth Lee had me in need of a little cooling off after this one.

“We can fight later. Just let me kiss you.”

This story is really just getting started, but I’m already invested in this journey. I love the mystery of trying to piece together who it was that Hannah had her masked encounter with. The contrast between Carter and Trent is already starting to show and I can only imagine how torn Hannah is about to feel when it comes to these two men. The sexual tension between Trent and Hannah is high, but by throwing in the business component of their relationship and the competition for control, Elizabeth Lee has kicked things up another notch. I can’t wait to see what happens when they both start fighting for their place in the company. I’m eager for more of the delicious Trent and feisty Hannah. Episode 2 cannot be here soon enough! Rating — 5 Stars

EPISODE TWO

If I thought Elizabeth Lee was trying to torture me with episode one, I had no idea what she had in store for us with episode two. This book starts off with all of the sexual tension of book 1, but with the added component of a now unquenchable lust sizzling between Hannah and Trent. Things between them are running hot, but his actions make her re-think her feelings for him and decide to play it cool and focus on Carter, the guy within her reach. When it turns out Trent is harboring some major secrets and they make their way to the surface, everything begins to fall apart. As really strange (and kind of scary) things begin to happen to Hannah, she tries to play it cool and stay in control, but keeping things to herself turns out to be more dangerous than she could have imagined.

“I hate that you came back and made me feel something for you, AGAIN. And most of all, I hate that you can’t admit that you feel something for me!”

Elizabeth Lee really turns up the heat as we get to know Hannah, Trent, and Carter a little better. The dynamics between them are electric and I was constantly waiting for one of the guys to either claim Hannah or punch the other guy in the face. I loved the emotion that Elizabeth was able to evoke throughout the story. She had me all over the map as I fell in and out of love with Trent and Carter and my heart burst and broke for Hannah. There is also a unique mystery element to this part of the serial and Elizabeth Lee expertly built the suspense. She gave just enough to keep me hooked and riddled with anxiety, but not enough that I wasn’t desperately trying to figure out the truth behind what was happening.

“Forget about this? It’s impossible to act like nothing ever happened between us, because what did happen was everything.”

This episode allowed us to see the inner workings of the hotel and the day-to-day duties that Hannah and Trent are tasked with. As their business competition was getting fierce, their personal relationship began to mimic this challenge. They were constantly trying to out-do the other and it made for some incredible moments that either had me grinning like an idiot or fanning myself off. Episode 2 is basically a fantastically sexy mystery. My mind was spinning, trying to figure out who Hannah’s mystery man was, what Trent had up his sleeve, who was behind the mishaps at the hotel and which guy would ultimately win Hannah. As these questions consumed me, Elizabeth Lee skillfully injected heat, humor, and heart into this story making it my new addiction. Rating — 5 Stars

EPISODE THREE

This totally addictive story finds its conclusion in episode 3 of the Spend the Night serial. Elizabeth Lee brought Hannah’s story to a close with just as much excitement and suspense as it began with. This episode was one dramatic reveal after another as we learned the fate of the hotel, discovered once and for all who “him” really is, and unmasked the man behind Hannah’s steamy encounter in the dark. Each of the characters begin to unravel as tensions rise and hearts are on the line. Elizabeth Lee kept me on the edge of my seat, hoping that my suspicions would prove to be true and Hannah would get the happily ever after she deserved.

“I could feel exactly what he meant when he whispered in my ear. It was about our connection, our feelings for each other, and nothing else.
‘This is all that matters.’ “

Hannah, Trent, and Carter are all laid bare over the course of this novella. Elizabeth Lee delves deep and opens up wounds to shine light on each of these characters. I was shocked by some of the events that played out and the truths that were revealed as the story progressed. Just when I thought I couldn’t adore Hannah more, she proves herself to be an even bigger badass and I find myself wishing we could be best friends. I loved her gumption and her strong will. She’s feisty and driven and I loved watching her hold her own with the men in this collection. The heat between Trent and Hannah burns hotter than ever before as their desperate attempts at staying away from each other begin to fail. Elizabeth allows us to see a fairly honest side of Trent that constantly had me swooning. Despite his imperfections, I am one hundred percent #TeamTrent! 😉

“I wasn’t going to just roll over. Not anymore. He had pushed me past the point of caring what happened to me. Since he’d come back into my life, he’d done nothing but make me second guess everything I thought I knew or wanted.”

The way Elizabeth Lee brought this story to an end was absolutely fantastic! It was everything I hoped the end of this journey would be and then some. She continued to make me laugh and feel and lose myself in the colorful world she has created. With surprises around every corner, I loved how unpredictable Spend the Night was. The connections Elizabeth drew in this episode stunned me, while the emotions laced throughout this story consumed me. I hope we’ll be seeing these characters again as we move forward with the Hotel Collection because I miss them already! Spend the Night is funny, witty, mysterious, and sexy. Elizabeth Lee has absolutely rocked this serial with its dramatic plotline, good pacing, complex characters, and overall vibrant energy. I will definitely keep reading anything Elizabeth Lee writes! Author Bio

Born and raised in the middle of a Midwestern cornfield (not literally, that would be weird), I’ve spent my entire life imagining stories. Stories where the right guy always gets the right girl, first kisses are as magical as they are on the big screen and anything is completely possible if you believe.

Although this journey began years ago, it recently took on a whole new life. After years of devouring hundreds of Romance, YA and New Adult novels, I had an epiphany… I should write a book. And I did it!

If I’m not reading, writing, enjoying drinks with my amazing group of girlfriends or chasing around a sarcastically funny kid, I’m probably watching television shows that were created for teenagers, while my husband teases that I’m too old to watch them.
