There’s two sides to every story…
Isn’t pretty… Then again,
what’s pretty about the mafia?
Trace Rooks, that’s what.
But she only wants one of us, and I’ll kill him before I let him have her.
The only problem ?
We’re cousins .
And she may just be our long lost enemy.
Whoever said college was hard, clearly didn’t attend Eagle Elite University.
Welcome to hell also known as the Mafia where blood is thicker than life, and to keep
Well, keep your friends close, and your enemies?
Ever since reading Elite, I’ve been curious to know the males’ points of view. With everything that was happening in that book, and all the up and down opposing actions, I felt myself wanting more because I wanted to be everywhere and know all the little details. Now that Enforce has been written and released, I feel like I understand so much more. I may or may not also have switched teams so many times throughout the course of this book that it was ridiculous – I just love all these mafia men!
“I just hated that I would be her tutor in the ways of reality – her prince of darkness. Hell, I would have done anything to be the hero.”
Elite is the first book in the Eagle Elite series and was told strictly from Trace’s point of view. Enforce, on the other hand, is told mainly through the voices of Nixon and Chase, but we do also see Phoenix and Tex. I feel like it was really pivotal to the series to have their sides of the story. I didn’t really think of it that way beforehand, as I didn’t feel like things were missing with Elite. However, once you complete the book, you are left with so much more knowledge and inner thoughts that you do realize there is a lot you didn’t previously know.
“I was always saving you. Even when you didn’t know I was there, I was saving you.”
Though Enforce has been advertised as a retelling of Elite, it is anything but. It is gripping and new while still reminding faithful readers of how the whole series started. With so many books in the series, I feel like it’s easy to forget how their story began, so it was a perfect time for this book to be released and get these pieces. I loved every single agonizing second. I was brought back into this world of feeling bad for characters (even after knowing the outcome of these events), feeling disdain for others, and just falling in love all over again.
“Why was it that every time I walked away from that girl, I knew in my gut it was the wrong choice?”
There were several typo errors, which is why I didn’t give a full five stars. However, don’t let that divert your attention. If you’re a fan of hot, protective men…look no further! The men of the Eagle Elite are not to be missed and it’s absolutely worth a one-click. For those who are already fans of the series, Enforce will force you to re-evaluate whose team you’re on, and force you to remember that it’s blood in….no out 😉
