F*ck and chuck. Pump and dump. Hit it and quit it. One night stand. Didn’t matter how I branded it—that’s all she had wanted it to be. That much was clear when she left me with my pants down and my dick still out.
What she hadn’t counted on was fate intervening and our worlds colliding—again.
The day I showed back up in the life of Chloe Griffins, I knew I had to have her again. My body was hungry for another taste. Like an addict, I’d been craving another hit for months, and there she was—flesh and bone, tits and ass.
The fact that she worked for the competition should’ve been reason enough for me to leave her alone. I had a job to do that summer and f*cking Chloe wasn’t part of it. But I was like a man possessed.
I’d do whatever it took to have her again.
Indiscretion is a fun and sexy read that had me from the very first page. I’m a huge Elisabeth Grace fan, but she absolutely out-did herself with this serial. Max and Chloe’s story is smart, witty and scorching. I could relate to Chloe immediately and knew she was just the type of heroine I adore. She is strong, sassy and intelligent and she knows what she wants and how to get it. Max about did me in. He is hot, successful and exudes confidence. From the moment Chloe sees him you can feel the temperature rising in the room. The sexual tension between these two is electric and Elisabeth makes sure you feel every bit of it. Elisabeth continues to impress me with her storytelling skills and her divine character building capabilities. She has me hooked on this story and invested in the characters already. The ending to volume 1 left me thinking, “what the hell? Where is volume 2??” Which is always an excellent sign. I can’t wait for volume 2 to see where Max and Chloe are headed next.
Volume 2 was even better than volume 1. As this story progresses, Elisabeth Grace continues to impress and take her storytelling to a new level. Things between Chloe and Max steam up in volume 2. As they spend more time with each other, the heat between them builds until neither of them can play it cool anymore. Elisabeth wrote their unavoidable combustion skillfully. She had me reading as fast as possible to see where these two would go next. Elisabeth expertly portrays the battle between their heads and hearts. Both scarred and not willing to risk love, they fight everything they’re feeling to keep things casual. Their frustration is palpable and Elisabeth makes sure the air is thick with emotion. She manages to capture all of the uncertainty and blend it perfectly with the moments of pure bliss that occur between these two. This volume ends on a cliffhanger that had me frantically swiping, looking for the next page. Elisabeth Grace sure knows how to leave a girl hanging. I need volume 3 NOW!
I seriously don’t know how I will be able to handle reading volume four. With each volume I read, this story just gets better and better! Volume two was all about the steam, but volume three challenges Max and Chloe to face reality and figure out what is going on between them. The character development in this volume is perfection. I felt like I got to know the real Max and Chloe during this part of their story. Turns out they’re both more complicated than I expected and my connection to them has only deepened over the course of this series. Just when I think things can’t get any hotter between these two, Elisabeth douses them in gasoline. As emotions begin to run higher and new feelings are unmasked, the lust and longing absolutely explodes.
Things get complicated in this book as they’re both forced to ask themselves what their “relationship” means to them. There was also some suspense thrown in the mix when strange things start happening. The added mystery component only served to enhance the plot and up the emotional ante of this already fiery story. Elisabeth expertly serves up every emotion to her readers. The anger, fear, passion, frustration, hunger and unmatched desire radiate from every page until you can’t help but feel like a part of Max and Chloe’s world. This story continues to take unexpected turns as more and more layers are revealed. I was squeezing my eyes shut when I knew I had reached the end of this volume because I didn’t want it to be over. I was really hoping I was wrong, but once again Elisabeth Grace has left me on the edge of my seat, desperately waiting for the conclusion of Max and Chloe’s story.
Elisabeth Grace took this story to a whole other level in volume four. I was nervous. I had no idea what to expect after the way things ended in volume three. I was desperate for Max and Chloe to find their happily ever after, but they both still had a significant amount of personal growth to undergo. This final piece of the story solidified Max and Chloe’s spot in my heart and once again, left me dazzled by Elisabeth’s fabulous storytelling and loveable characters. Her growth as a writer continues to thrill me and this final volume made sure I was already anxious for her next book.
Going into volume four, Max and Chloe still needed to admit to themselves where their feeling for each other really lie. I didn’t know if they’d have enough time in this last piece of their story to come to terms with their emotions, open up to each other and live happily ever after. Elisabeth masterfully took these two on their journey and allowed them the time to realistically grow. Chloe really came into her own in this last part of the story, speaking her mind and taking chances with her heart. Max, on the other hand, was given the ultimate reminder that he should be living his life on his own terms and that going after what he wants is a risk always worth taking.
Volume four had me feeling like I’d been emotionally steamrolled. Elisabeth threw in a twist that I never say coming. In fact I probably re-read the sentence several times to make sure I was reading it correctly. The intensity of the story shot way up, bringing with it a flood of emotions that had me absolutely reeling. This story was witty, fierce, sexy and unquestionably beautiful. My heart was crushed and then mended, only to be stolen all over again by these feisty, completely relatable characters and their expertly crafted story. Elisabeth Grace has outdone herself and proven once again why I love her fresh and unique voice. This serial is undoubtedly one-click worthy.
