Synopsis

My name is Dominic Powers. My software engineering company, DPS, is one of the top 500 companies in the world. Conducting a search for my Personal Assistant brought an unexpected candidate straight to me.

I knew she was different as soon as she walked into my high-rise office. She exuded innocence and inexperience. Those are two things in a woman that normally don’t attract me, but I am apparently making an exception for her. She’s young and delicate – and I’m afraid she won’t make it in my world.

But the carnal man I’ve kept hidden deep inside me says I have to try.

She is my Sophia Vasco.

I am Her Dom.

Review

I’ll be the first to admit I’ve been getting a little worn out on the millionaire doms and their young and innocent would-be subs. I’ve enjoyed all of A.D. Justice’s work in the past, so I decided to give Her Dom a shot and I was pleasantly surprised. This story is fresh, hot and left me feeling restless. After we got to know Sophia and Dominic, this story picked up and took off running, keeping me guessing until the end when it left me completely blindsided and desperate for book two.

“I am her Dom. She will feel me when I’m not even there. She will hear my words whispered in her ear even when she’s asleep.”

Sophia isn’t your typical heroine for this type of story. To begin with, she is an educated, strong woman who can hold her own in the boardroom. One would never guess from her business persona that she craves a dom. She has been a sub before so she knows what she is getting into with Dominic, or at least she thinks she does. Turns out her ex was on a completely different page and the things she experienced with him have left her emotionally vulnerable. I enjoyed seeing the layers of this complicated woman unravel as Dominic helps her realize her worth and breaks open her emotional vault.

“No man will ever come close to touching her again after I’ve shown her what I can do.”

Dominic is different from most of the doms out there. He demands control but only so as to worship Sophia. Trust is the most important thing to him and he works to earn Sophia’s. He was a romantic, something that is often unexpected in these relationships, at least as far as fictional portrayals go. When he wasn’t busy overseeing his business empire or convincing Sophia of her worth, he was turning up the heat. Dominic is the embodiment of lust. Combine this with his adoration and devotion to Sophia and I was swooning in no time.

“She is mine. Claim staked. Territory marked.”

Sophia and Dominic’s love burns hot and fast. The “getting to know each other” period is short and A.D. takes us into the heart of their story quickly. As their story unfolds, moments of mystery and suspense color their journey. I was completely caught up in the details, wracking my brain to try to unravel the strange events. When it turns out not one, but both of their pasts might have come back to haunt this couple, I found myself enthralled. A.D. Justice left us hanging, wondering what was happening and how the pieces fit together. I had to start book two immediately because I just couldn’t wait to see how things would play out!
