Finally… Grace sees me in a different light. The banter is flirty, the sex is fun, and the future looks fabulous.I just hope she feels the same way when she finds out what I did.

Review

Have you ever finished a book and immediately run to social media to speak with the author? Yeah, well that is how you will feel upon finishing Status. This is, without a doubt, my favorite in the Social Media serial! There was mystery, romance, and of course hot sex! Each installment of this one just keeps getter better and better!

“All the best fairytale princesses have the most horrific pasts.”

When we dive into Status, we’re in the chaos of Grace fleeing the scene with Kristi. She now has her younger self’s face plastered all over the television, and the past she has worked so hard to forget has crept up on her and completely blindsided her. Vaughn is fighting battles on multiple fronts trying to protect both his sister and Grace. When Vaughn finally discovers where Grace is, he convinces her to go with him. As much as readers are ready for a ride off into the sunset, we all know that J.A. Huss isn’t ready to let that happen. There is so much information divulged in Status when it comes to what happened with Grace, but there are so many new questions raised as well – and we’re left with the most brutal cliffhanger yet!

“But they endure and persevere.”

I really truly enjoyed this mind f* installment! I have never needed the next piece as bad as I felt like I did when this one ended. One of the best things was that there was much deeper character development in this volume. We really got to delve into the mystery of Grace’s past and see a whole other more vulnerable side of her. On the same token, we saw a different, more swoonworthy and softer side of Vaughn. His personality was in such contrast to the harder, dominant side of him. I also loved seeing Vaughn & Grace tweet together. It was really cute to see the competitive flirty side of them.

“And even though the fantasy dictates that the prince saves her, that’s not how it really happens.”

Status definitely kept me on my toes and gripping the pages. I love when a book can make me smile and giddy, yet break my heart at the same time. I’m a sucker for punishment – what can I say? Bring on the next installment Huss….I’m ready and waiting!

Author Bio

JA Huss

J. A. Huss likes to write new adult books that make you think and keep you guessing. Her favorite genre to read is space opera, but since practically no one reads those books, she writes new adult science fiction, paranormal romance, contemporary romance, urban fantasy, and books about Junco (who refuses to be saddled with a label).

She has an undergraduate degree in horses, (yes, really–Thank you, Colorado State University) and a master’s degree in forensic toxicology from the University of Florida. She used to have a job driving around Colorado doing pretty much nothing but shooting the breeze with farmers, but now she just writes, runs the New Adult Addiction and Clean Teen Reads Book Blogs, and runs an online science classroom for homeschoolers.
