Author: Nina Levine
Series: Storm MC #3
Forever is a long time and takes a lot of hard work.
For twelve years, Madison and J’s love story has been wild and uncontrollable. Their road to love has been full of breathtaking highs and devastating lows. Finally, they’ve found each other again and have both sworn that this time it will be forever.
Theirs is an everlasting love.
Or, is it?
Can forever be an impossible dream when two people are as headstrong as these two? Or will the deep love they have for each other win out and give them the forever they’ve fought hard for?
I waited anxiously for the return of J and Madison. I was almost afraid I’d built it up too much in my mind. But this is Nina Levine we’re talking about here and she knows what she’s doing with her Storm MC men. I’m thrilled to say that Blaze exceeded any and all expectations I had for the continuation of J and Madison’s story. This part of their story was very different from the first part. Now that they’ve decided to be together they have to figure out how their lives fit together and how to get through both the day-to-day and random club drama without wanting to kill each other. They have to decide if this is forever.
“My heart was completely his. Our lives would forever be entwined because I was never letting him go again.”
In true J and Madison fashion, their relationship is electric. Nobody can annoy the shit out of each other the way that J and Madison can. As you read this book there is no doubt that the reason their arguments explode with passion is because they genuinely care about each other. The perfection of J and Madison’s relationship lies in the honesty, the struggle, and the multitude of imperfections that make it so very real. Of course it wouldn’t be Storm MC without some scorching scenes and J’s filthy mouth and Nina definitely does not miss a beat there. Seriously. I missed that guy.
“He stepped forward and wrapped his arms around me, pulling me to him roughly. His lips brushed across the top of my forehead. I sank into him. This was what I needed; this closeness. J and I connected when we touched. It was like air to us; without it we stumbled.”
I was happy to see all of my favorites make an appearance. Scott, Harlow and Nash help fill out the story and Blade managed to completely catch me off guard once again. At the end of Fierce we got to see a side of Blade I really wasn’t expecting. I actually started to like him and I was dying to know more about him. After reading Blaze I am definitely ready for more Blade. Seeing so much more of his relationship with Madison made me understand the kind of man that lies beneath the rough, scarred exterior and it had me even more interested in hearing his story.
“I’ve come to see that you and J were made for each other, and I understand that type of love; the kind that only fate brings.”
Blaze was a fantastic addition to the Storm MC series. Over the course of the story I could see the characters growing and solidifying their relationships with one another. I happily jumped on the emotional rollercoaster that is J and Madison’s story and enjoyed every second of it. Once again the Storm MC has laid claim to my heart and left me wanting more.
I loved having a chance to delve deeper into the relationship between J and Madison in Blaze, the third book of the Storm MC series. Nina Levine has created two characters that fight hard and love even harder and it’s such a ride to be on with them. There was a sense of realness to their relationship, getting a glimpse into not only the happy times, but the problems they had to work through as well. Blaze had a lot of the heavy substance that you don’t traditionally find in a novella, and I found that to be quite refreshing.
“I was yours from the first day we met, J, you just didn’t know it.”
These two characters have come so far from when we first met them in Fierce, yet still showed tremendous growth throughout the continuation of their story. While J struggled with how to balance the club life with his relationship with Madison, she seemed to rediscover her roots and make sure they would never be torn up. I appreciated each of them having their moments of weakness, yet believing in what they had together. You also get a peek into how they started their relationship, really allowing readers to see these two come full circle thus falling in love with them even harder.
“You might be a dirty mouthed, moody asshole, but you love with all your heart and that’s all a woman can ask for. So yeah, I don’t need further proof of your love and commitment.”
Nina Levine is a true hidden gem and I’m kicking myself for not reading her books sooner. She is able to go rough and gritty, but also sweet and swoonworthy. The writing is descriptive and addictive, and I’m certainly glad that there more books in the series to be devoured. If you’re a fan of MC romances, the Storm MC series is definitely a MUST read!
