Synopsis

“I’m not sure what you have been told about me, but I’m not nearly as bad as they make me out to be.” His deliciously deep voice carried a little bit of ego.

I’m sure you are exactly as bad as they make you out to be….

Brad De Luca is used to getting whatever and whomever he wants. The premier divorce attorney in town, he’s a playboy who’s bedded half the city–including his own clients. And when the newest intern at his firm poses a challenge, his seductive prowess goes into overdrive.

Pre-law student Julia Campbell is fresh off a failed engagement and happy with her new independence. Even if she weren’t warned away from Brad at every turn, she’d know he was bad news. The last thing she needs is a man who could destroy her job prospects, not to mention her innocence. But before she knows it, the incorrigible charmer has her under his spell. His deviant tastes plunge her deep into a forbidden world of sexual exploration…but her heart may not survive the fall.

Review

Um, wow, wow, wow! This book was so beautifully executed and well written! I honestly loved every single thing about it. Julia is an innocent college intern who begins to stretch her boundaries and test her limits thanks to Mr. DeLuca. Brad is such an alpha, strong male that together they just blew me out of the water.

“I’ve found it’s easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. Plus, I already asked, and you said no.”

I really adored and admired Julia. She fights temptation and maybe lost sometimes, but I never felt like she lost sight of who she was. I think she was honestly growing, testing the waters, and figuring out exactly what she wanted/needed – which is what I believe your college years are for. I also have a total crush on Brad and he is easily one of my new top book boyfriends. He’s a man who knows what he wants and isn’t going to compromise. However, not once did I feel like he was pushing too hard or was he being overbearing. He was a man who loves control, but ultimately laid all of it in Julia’s hands. The dynamic between these two characters just fascinated me and kept pulling me in for more and more.

“The act of sex is healthy, normal, God-given. It’s the emotions and entitlement that everyone attaches to it that are harmful.”

Furthermore, I like that she opens up conversations about marriage and sex and society’s expectations vs. your own desires. It caused me to take a look at myself and take some time to be introspective. I sat and thought about my own life and where I fell on this spectrum. This book was a super fast, vortex of a read – and I mean that in the best way possible. It will suck you in and keep you turning the pages for more! The sex was so freaking hot too! That’s enough to get your blood going! 😉 Blindfolded Innocence is incredibly hard to put down and absolutely addictive. I can’t wait to see what else Alessandra has in store for us with these two amazing characters.
